Hi!

I'm Paul. I'm a Software Engineer living in Kassel, Germany.

I started programming back somewhere in 2005 with PHP and MySQL building my own guestbook (who was not at that time?). After graduating in computer science at the University of Kassel, I started my professional career as Software Engineer at an e-commerce software company in Kassel doing frontend development in Java (yep, you read that right. Java. With GWT). After some years I switched to backend development, first starting with PHP, then switching to Java and Kotlin as my preferred programming languages.

Currently I'm working for a fintech startup called fino, also based in Kassel.

In my free time I like to exercise, play video games and football (soccer for the american readers). I also enjoy watching professional football, mostly the Bundesliga, where my favorite club is Eintracht Frankfurt.
